Leaning Tree at Lautertal

After a couple of hours and a couple of trains, we made it to the Lautental. An 8 hour road trip in all. We had to get out for an annual fall outing. We seem to be getting out at for at least one long day this time of year at the spur of the moment. I think it is to try and see the peak colors, but it is hard to get the timing right. You just have to go and see what happens. The colors were pretty good.

Something to do...

I knew I wasn't going to be putting much up on this blog, but I didn't know it was going to be this slow. So I took a picture out the window. It's getting cold, but cold air always makes better pictures. I need all the help I can get.

Ice Rink is Open

It's been 5 years since I went skating on it. One of these days I'll get the skates on and try it again. Last time I went I went soooooooooo slow. I think I went faster going backwards.

I've got a question.

Am I supposed to be watching this thing or pulling it?

Autumn Lights

Yeah, it's that time of year again. The leaves are starting to change. It was a nice, warm, almost Indian Summer kinda day, today.

I'm going to get some links up on this blog again sometime.

Coffehouse or out in the cold?

Well neither for me. I was on the bus. I was on my way to Markthalle where I picked up some spices for some chili. It's definitely the weather for it. Cold, rain, I needed an umbrella most of the time. When you leave the valley there's snowflakes. It's my second making of chili this week. The last batch was good but a bit too western US for the family's taste, so this time I put some stuff (A secret, I'll never tell. She wants to know so bad.) to make it taste all stylish and European. It's sort of a contradiction, eh? European chili. I mean, I've had chili over here. They do have Mexican restaurants, but this was a different sort of deal. I've created something new. I'm not sure if I want to release it onto the world.

Getting in the Spirit

Well, it's sort of a pun, "spirit", you know. Like as in spooky for Halloween. I took this picture on Koenigstrasse a year ago, I think. I finally got my Panasonic T3 battery charged, so I might get a few fresh pictures tomorrow. I'll be downtown anyways. I've got a few more of these pictures if I can't get a few good ones then. I'm sure I can, though.
